Humber Pig (20mm)

I was delighted with the announcment of the release of mk.1, mk.2, 'holy' and 'flying' pigs. an order quickly followed, and I was thoroughly impressed with them when they arrived. these models totally represent these work horses. the mk.1 comes with four radio aerial bases, so is begging to be allocated to signals or command units. the mk.2 is the backbone of the internal security units, ferrying 'bricks' of squaddies around the streets, and if marked up with red crosses, removing casualties to hospital. the holy pig provides the hatch, open or closed, for top cover, while the flying pig can be completed as either moving, with wings folded and top screen lowered, or static with the wings deployed, squaddies sheltering behind them, and the top screen raised. a quick addition of 'paper' skirts to the bottom of the wings and rear of the vehicle represents the rubber ? screens to stop missiles rolling beneath them. painted black, and the job is done. Peter has even provided the slits in the wings, filled IIRC with plexiglass, and the mould has a lip to retain clear panels supplied by yourselves. now we just need the Snatch Land Rover to back them up, and you have a well ballanced unit. the moulds are, as usual, superb, a bit of ridging on the bonnet due to the printing, but soon covered by a thick coat of primer, and virtually invisible once the top coat and varnish / markings are applied. so, another superb offering now what were those wagons the EOD teams used?Alan Jenkins (2 Sep 2021, 21:34)
