Casspir Blesbok

12345
ok, let me first of all admit that when I receive a model, I look at it and think "what if ....." so today's order include the Blesbok for one project, and a UBRE set for a completely different project, but ..... a few looks, trials, measurements later, and I was cutting the side body panels off and fitting the UBRE to the Blesbok, well my Casspirs will need fuel won't they ? with no mods to the UBRE, and only the removal of the side panels to the Blesbok, they fitted together. not, probably, what Peter intended, and I have no idea if they actually used the UBRE in south african units, but it fits, it looks good and I AM HAPPY. as no doubt will Peter be when he receives an order for 2 x more Blesboks to carry the rest of the logistics requirements for my Casspir unit ? as received it is a great model, and the next x 2 will simply receive store, hopefully on NATO palets, but if not the as loose items. but this is a very nice gs version of the Casspir, and is, with a bit of imagination, open to a number of conversions. so again, Peter, THANK YOUAlan Jenkins (16 Feb 2022, 21:15)

Casspir c/w roof

to round out today's delivery I had a couple of the new Casspir version, with a roof plus hatches, these will hopefully provide better protection for my IS forces, and maintain Peter;s highest standards of prints.Alan Jenkins (26 Jan 2022, 16:36)

81mm mortar Casspir

12345
following on from the APC version, today I received the 81mm mortar and 106mm recoilless rifle versions of the Casspir. for the latter I chose the sides up version. again superb prints, with the mortar version a complete one piece print, and the recoilless rifle version in two parts, the vehicle complete, and the rifle as a separate item. already the mortar version has been primed and painted in base Humbrol 86. as usual, the prints are clean, and once the supports removed little is needed to be done before painting. the biggest decisions ..... how to position the r/r, and whether to fit crew figures. more of these will definitely be following, and after seeing photos of the r/r fitted vehicle with a 20mm a/a gun fitted, this may well become a future project. again, thank you Peter for these superb vehicles.Alan Jenkins (13 Aug 2021, 12:10)

Casspir in 20mm

when Peter released the Ratel, I asked if he intended also releasing the Casspir. he has. my first, an APC, arrived this morning, and has already received the usual coat of Halfords grey primer, followed by Humbrol 86 light olive, and is now drying prior to painting of tyres etc. so, what is it like ? in my opinion it is superb ! mortar and recoilless rifle versions already ordered, with further APCs to follow. Peter has even produced the seats inside the open back APC for troops, I am now looking through my stock to find suitable seated figures for at least one APC. as usual, the print is clean, and mine had been stripped of the supporting parts, so literally a case of spray. the vehicle comes in two parts, the vehicle complete, and what I would identify as a Browning .30 mg to be fitted. all in all, well worth the price, or it is to me. well detailed, and while I would normally add stowage, for this vehicle in it's APC or internal security role,it is fine as it is received.Alan Jenkins (10 Aug 2021, 12:27)
